This year is definitely one of the most anticipated ones when it comes to the latest smartphones and more and more companies are striving to incorporate the best advancements in technology there is. With the likes of Samsung and Apple rolling out their latest devices this forthcoming quarter, there has been huge premise surrounding LG’s G6 flagship device as well. The premise surrounding the device is enormous with more and more tech enthusiasts striving to figure out what the forthcoming flagship from LG is tipped to favour.
Now, among every single speculation surrounding the LG G6, there have been recent reports that have pointed to sufficient information on the phone’s specs with concrete backing. The latest of them all sheds light on the optics front of the premium device and the LG G6 is now pegged to feature a dual-lens camera setup. This specification was first spotted in the iPhone 7 Plus last September with more and more companies striving to adopt the feature.
Earlier, LG announced that the G6 will come preloaded with a Square Camera feature which will divide the 18:9 display into two identical perfect squares that will allow users to shoot image as well as review them in the adjacent window. Something which was already available predominantly in the instagram app. Now, the South Korean company has confirmed the presence of a dual lens camera setup in their upcoming flagship. LG has gone on to unveil the presence of an 8MP secondary camera on the rear phone panel sporting a 125-degree wide-angle view at the back. Although the manufacturers of the lens setup has not been revealed as of yet, Sony does seem a reasonably fair bet. The company also revealed that the front facing camera of the G6 will sport a 100-degree wide-angle lens.
LG’s G6 flagship smartphone will be unveiled at the company’s February 26 event ahead of the Mobile World Congress Events in Barcelona, which will begin at 4.30pm IST (12.00pm CET).
